Carlsbad is a city of just over 100,000 residents on the Pacific coastline about 25 miles north of San Diego. It is known for its string of popular beaches, three lagoons, enticing downtown “village,” attractive neighborhoods, thriving business sector and famed tourist attractions such as the Flower Fields and the Legoland theme park. Carlsbad’s municipal government is considered to be one of the most fiscally stable in California, and the city has a low crime rate.
